Actor David John is on cloud nine these days, as his brief stint in ‘Bigg Boss Malayalam’ TV reality show has garnered the attention of the audience as well as filmmakers. He will next be seen in Jeethu Joseph’s upcoming film ‘Ram’, which has actors Mohanlal and Trisha appearing in the lead roles. David is excited about the negative character he would be essaying in the flick. The shoot of the film has been brought to a halt by the COVID-19 pandemic, and he is eagerly awaiting for it to resume.
He is enthused about playing the lead role in a serial titled ‘Anna Kareena’, to be telecast on Flowers TV from August 24. “It will be produced by actor Mukesh, and I will be playing the role of a fashion designer in it. The story, however, will be on the premise of the Kevin murder case, but will not be an exact representation of his life or incidents that happened. Changes will be made to the plot.”
David says that he has shot for a few advertisements as well, and would be making his foray into OTT platform, with a yet-to-be-titled project. “It was scheduled to be shot in Fort Kochi. However, lockdown has put that on hold too.” He adds that he has also grabbed a Tamil film, in which he will be essaying a character with a negative tinge.
So, what does he do when he is not shooting these days, amid lockdown? “I have been indulging in organic farming at home. I have always been interested in it, but never found time for the same. Lockdown has given me time for it, and I thoroughly enjoy farming.”
