A gateway to solving the language knot

Udaipur-based Prithvi Jain saw an active issue in the freelance and translation industry when she was just a college student “I used to freelance, while I was in college, which is when I noticed a huge gap in the language service industry in our country.” She points out that unlike in countries like the US and UK, there are no agencies here that provide language services. “While there are translators in India, it is not a profession that anyone looks up to achieve. Moreover, there are very few players in terms of agencies when it comes to providing translation services. So I decided to solve this issue and start something that would make it easy for anyone to start a job as a translator.” This is the story of how Prithvi founded ‘Verbolabs’.

Verbolabs provides language services which includes translating, dubbing, voice over and subtitling. “We have a team of translators, dubbing artists and voice over artists. We work in 50+ languages. It’s been four years since I started Verbolabs, we are placed in Bangalore and Rajasthan and it is going pretty well as there are less competitions”, says Prithvi.

While Prithvi and her team has to tackle challenges each day as they deal with so many languages, she is elated at the positive growth of her company. “The journey has been rewarding so far. We have been growing 100 percent, each year.”

“What motivates me on a personal level is my work,” says Prithvi. “There is something new to look forward to at work everyday, whether it is the clients or projects. It’s a fresh start everyday and I always look forward to it.”
