Designing the art of ‘guilt-free’ eating

“The smiling faces of our clients is the biggest motivating factor which only leads us to work harder and help people attain good health”

Shweta Shah is on a mission to promote healthy living. Apart from taking on roles of a dietician, nutritionist and a certified professional health and wellness coach, she is also the co-founder of Eatfit247. Shweta and Eatfit247 have been instrumental in crafting a healthy lifestyle for celebrities such as Harbhajan Singh, Sakshi Dhoni, Deepika Padukone, Yasmin Karachiwala, Geeta Basra, Digangana Suryavanshi and Katrina Kaif.

My motto is ‘Protecting you from yourself”, says Shweta, who believes in encouraging people and to make them move away from conventional medicines and turn towards use of natural foods, spices, herbs and little shifts in lifestyle changes to cure all their medical conditions.

Explaining about the concept of guilt-free eating Shweta says, “I always listen to the client’s body. Then analyze it according to doshas i.e., vata, pitta, and kapha. Only then do I decide which food is suitable for an individual’s body. If one eats as per his/her body requirement one will never crave any junk food. Once you start listening to your body, it becomes easier to balance doshas. When you balance your doshas it ultimately leads to a person enjoying a pill free life. We always customize meal plans which have connection to the Ayurveda roots.”

With more than 18 years of experience in the field, Shweta shares the biggest lessons she has learnt, “We meet multiple people; every person is different so we have to examine them individually. We are always trying to update ourselves about various cultures, from each one of our customers, we always learn something.”

Dealing with people who are looking forward to changes in their everyday lifestyle and helping these people maintain a healthy mind and body on a daily basis is no easy task. Speaking about the challenges she faces in the work front, Shweta says “Every day is full of new experiences as we get new clients everyday and every human body is different from each other. So, it is sometimes challenging to analyse their body types and plan their diets according to their likes and dislikes. We need to be up to date with the changing trends.”

She chips in, “The smiling faces of our clients is the biggest motivating factor which only leads us to work harder and help people attain good health.”

A piece of advice she shares with the younger generation is to not run behind fad diets, which may harm the human body after some time. “Accept our ancient intelligence, our ancient roots which work with our bodies to give 100% results. Also don’t run behind calorie counting instead learn about clean eating. Again, that’s a big topic but I would conclude it in a few lines, you don’t have to eat less; you just have to eat right,” she signs off.
