‘Food’-steps to success

Hobbies are like stressbusters. However, But not all get the privilege to actually take up what they love doing as a career option as well. That said, for Teenu Terrence it has been all about doing what she loves, food writing and blogging for the past few years. It was like finding the light at the end of a tunnel.

“Starting Letsstalkfood was cathartic at best. Four years ago I sought solace in something I loved doing to free myself from a rather unfortunate episode of my life. I love writing and I enjoyed great food. So I put my two big interests together and delved into food writing. Writing about fantastic food and their talented creators gave me something wonderful to look forward to every single day,” she says, describing the situations that persuaded her to take up the role of a food writer and how much she is in love with the process of understanding food culture. Ask her about the acceptance and the remarks she has to encounter and how she deals with it, Teenu says that it’s all about understanding self worth and staying persistent throughout.

“The journey might take a while but keep doing what you do with consistency, maintain absolute faith and always be cheerful no matter what goes down. No matter how people perceive you, you need to understand and fully comprehend your self worth. There are collaborations and campaigns I have lost because I don’t have an obscene number of followers, but on the flipside, I do have several supportive brands who appreciate my work and what it stands for, and for that I am so thankful. If it happens, it happens, if not, there’s something better coming! C’est la vie :),” she quotes. She also stresses on the importance of supporting fellow bloggers, writers, vloggers, as she feels that even the smallest encouragement goes a long way and builds a strong sense of community.
